Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. In 1991, the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) built a new museum in downtown Seattle. The item here offered for sale is a bound set of the architectural plans/ drawings/ schema of the lighting for the new building. This items consists of 12 sheets, 30 1/2" x 42 1/2". Your bookseller is certainly not an architect, nor is he ordinarily a dealer in architectural books or ephemera, therefore please forgive his lack of proper description. Page 1: Lighting Fixture Schedule along with list of Manufacturers. Pps 2-5: drawings/ diagrams/ descriptions of various series. Pps 6-12: Floor drawings, one sheet each for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th floors plus basement and mezzanine. It may be safe to assume that very few sets of these drawings exist. This represents desirable hard - to - come - by addition for the collector of SAM material as well as for architects who collect material related to important public buildings. This set is in very good to fine condition with no tears and only a small bit of wear or slight peeling at the fore edges opposite the binding. The binding is almost surely the original soft cloth stapled binding. The sheets are rolled up and will be shipped that way.
