Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. This 198 page hardcover book is in very good condition, wrapped in a good dust jacket. A few small tears and bumps along the edges of the dust jacket, along with some smudging and rubbing showing up on the white sections. A previous owner's bookplate on the front end page. The text is clean, the binding is tight and sound. From the dust jacket: "In a confessional in New York City, a young man both blames and excuses himself for committing a brutal murder, leaving the priest with the tortured fear that he may commit another. The priest sets off on a search based on hints the murderer has let drop about his childhood, bound of course by the seal of the confessional. The demented killer is especially difficult to identify because of his quiet and gentle character. "Nominated for an Edgar Allan Poe Award from the Mystery Writers of America, A Gentle Murderer is generally regarded as [the author's] masterpiece.".

No store stamps. --- --- (The fifth book in the Witch World : Estcarp Cycle series) --- Kaththea the Sorceress called forth a power such as no longer existed on the distant planet known as the Witch World. It was a power so great that it could destroy all that she loved best - and might even prove to be a greater evil than the shadow itself. Yet there could be no other choice for Kaththea than to call on Hilarion in the death-naming. For she was a witch deprived of power and she needed a guide to regain her lost skills and her lost world. There was only this ancient one, the opener of gates, with force mighty enough. . .

Book
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 2nd Edition. The Doubleday hardcover first edition of Isaac Asimov's "Lucky Starr and the Moons of Jupiter" had been out of print and hard to find for 20 years when Gregg Press published the 2nd hardcover edition. This copy is their "First Printing, October 1978" per its copyright page. The book is near fine, marred only by an ink gift inscription on the front end paper. The binding is tight and square, the boards are sharp cornered, and boards & pages are unmarked. Not a remainder. The unclipped dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is very good. It's bright, whole and unmarked, but has some short, closed edge tears with creasing, light wear at head and heel, and some scraping on back. The dust jacket also has some light wrinkling from having been wet at some point in its life, but there is no damp stain visible. Overall, at this price, this is an attractive copy of a desirable edition of a scarce Asimov space adventure for your library. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.
