Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Daniel Boorstin's copy of the Cowboy Reader edited by Lon Tinkle and Allen Maxwell. The 6 by 9 inch hardcover book is 307 pages and in good condition. The dust jacket has creases and tears and is tucked inside the book. The red cloth boards have sharp corners and the inside text pages are clean without markings. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the title page, dated 1976. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1973, for his book, "The Americans: The Democratic Experience.".
