He is professor of biology at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, an adviser to student environmental groups, and is involved in the Green Party movement. He is author of Trout Biology: A Natural History of Trout and Salmon.

Bill Willers is an author of several conservation books, a teacher, and works with the Superior Wilderness Action Network. He also attends and teaches workshops at environmental conferences.
