About the Author:
Michael W. Sherer is the Thriller Award-nominated, best-selling author of Night Blind, the first in the Seattle-based Blake Sanders thriller series, which was also named a best book of 2012 by The Examiner’s “Miami Books.” Mike has published six novels in the award-winning Emerson Ward mystery series and a stand-alone suspense novel, Island Life, which was a USA Book News “Best Books” award-winner in 2008. A member and past regional vice president of Mystery Writers of America, Mike is also a member of the International Thriller Writers and the Authors Guild. He’s served as a judge for both MWA’s Edgar and ITW’s Thriller Awards. Mike first dreamed of becoming a bestselling novelist after taking a creative writing course in college from author John Nichols. He wrote his first book (an admittedly awful science fiction novel) in his senior year, but it was his third book that was finally published a decade and a half later. “Writing books,” he says, “is actually the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but also the most rewarding.” He hopes that his latest book might be the bestseller he’s hoped for -- tell your friends if you like it. Mike is working on the fourth Blake Sanders thriller as well as a YA thriller. Mike grew up on a farm in northern Illinois, and after graduating from college he lived in Chicago for 20 years. He and his family now reside in the Seattle area.
