The human reproductive system is incredibly complex. It is a system in which both male and female counter-systems must work together to produce offspring. This book follows these processes and presents both the male and female reproductive systems in a detailed and conscientious narrative.

From School Library Journal:
Grade 4-6–These overviews cover major structures and functions in broad detail. The many color photos of posed teens and preteens; microphotos; and clear, labeled graphic images are strong enhancements, occupying about half of each page's real estate. Volumes close with a spread on relevant disorders, two or three experiments or activities, and a perfunctory reading list. Despite occasional oversimplifications, such as the statement in Food that All of the ingredients in a food product have to be listed on the packaging, these are acceptable supplements.
