The recipient of several degrees and certifications, Don holds a B.A. Cum Laude in Business Management from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina; a CFP® (Certified Financial PlannerTM )from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado; a MSM (Master of Science in Management), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Memberships include the Estate Planning Council, FPA (Financial Planning Association), Omicron Delta Epsilon (an honor society in Economics), Sigma Chi Fraternity, the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants), BSF and YPO.
As an educator at heart, Don speaks on a variety of topics as well as facilitating workshops. He writes financial advisory articles and is published in trade association magazines and newsletters across the United States.
Don is also an Eagle Scout, a model shipbuilder and a world traveler having been to: Alaska, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, England, France, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Thailand, Morocco, the Netherlands and Greece. Don is married with six children and lives in North Carolina.
Curtis Verstaete is a motivational marketing coach who has helped hundreds of advisors, business owners, and entrepreneurs achieve breakthroughs in their business. He helps people take a new look at their capabilities, expertise and resources to discover untapped opportunities and assets. His greatest ability is turning unrecognized and under valued intellectual property into money making processes, programs, and products.
He also plays the role of a marketing architect in helping his clients develop unique marketing strategies and plans. He is a speaker, accomplished seminar host, and writer. Prior to founding BIG Incorporated in 1994, Curtis owned and operated three other businesses including a weekly newspaper, a direct sales company and a marketing company.
