Third Ear is Book 3 of the Trilogy. After her first experience with spokenword poetry, Jeanetta was touched by the melody and rhythm of the genre, but questioned if it was reaching the third ear of the hearers...the third ear of the heart? Only when words reach our hearts can they bring us to a point of decision--what will we do with what we've heard? Always interested in sharing the love and saving power of Jesus Christ, Jeanetta hopes these poems will be used to reach...the third ear...and bring about a marvelous change.

From the Inside Flap:
Joy is a Choice
(c) Jeanetta Britt

When my dream died
I thought I'd do wrong
Be forever sad
But forever is too long.

Today, I changed my mind
It's happy I will be
It's a choice I can make
Jesus left it up to me.

The blood He shed
Covered guilt, regret, and doubt
Fear, suffering, sin
Did I leave anything out?

He gave us victory
Our souls He freed
Blessed in heavenly places
With all our needs.

Though circumstance
The body may control
It can't bind a mind
Tied to the soul.

Remember His goodness
Relish every drop
Joy is a choice
No one else can stop!
About the Author:
Jeanetta Britt is a bestselling author and an award-winning poet who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fisk University and finished Top Ten with a Master's degree from The University of Michigan. Her passion for writing contemporary Christian Fiction novels--filled with lots of juicy drama and suspense--as well as, Gospel poetry, surfaced in 1996 and has grown steadily since that time. "While being swept up in the story," Jeanetta says, "I want my readers to feel the love of Jesus and take refuge in Him, like I did." After completing a 30-year career in public administration in Dallas, Texas, Jeanetta returned to her native Alabama to write and to live. Her southern roots are reflected in her imagery, characters, and delightfully witty storytelling style. She is a sought-after inspirational speaker, by youth and adults alike, with six novels and five books of poetry to her credit. Jeanetta is also an avid gardener and community advocate, and she founded Twelve Stones CDC--a non-profit organization that operates two community gardens in rural Alabama. "We provide free, fresh food for our community and an opportunity for our youth and senior citizens to form that vital intergenerational connection, and to get some free exercise, companionship and sunshine, too," she says. "No rules--just love!"
