Samuel K. Holcomb is an instructor in the American Sign Language and Interpreting Education Department at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. He is the coauthor of ASL at Work and Basic Sign Communication. He lives in Rochester, New York. Thomas K. Holcomb is a professor of deaf studies and deaf education at Ohlone College and previously taught at San Jose State University and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. He is the author of a number of innovative teaching materials, including A Sign of Respect: Strategies for Effective Deaf/Hearing Interaction and See What I Mean: Differences Between Deaf and Hearing Cultures. He lives in Fremont, California. Roy K. Holcomb spearheaded several movements in the field of deaf education, including the establishment of the international organization now known as the American Society for Deaf Children. He was one of the first deaf directors and superintendents in the nation.
