Crisis and the Renewal of Creation: World and Church in the Age of Ecology - Hardcover

A collection of 23 homilies on environmental issues delivered over the past two decades at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Some of the contributors (such as Al Gore and Carl Sagan) will be well known to the general audience; others (such as ReneDubos, Amory Lovins, and Thomas Berry) will be well known to environmentalists. Some of the best contributions are from writers who may be unfamiliar to either audience. The contributions range from theological and philosophical speculation to concrete and practical proposals; taken together they are a wonderful and timely resource for meditation in an era that the book optimistically calls "the age of ecology."
