From Booklist:
Gr. 1^-3. This is certain to be just as well liked and well used as others in the authors' riddle-book series, even though the subject hasn't quite the drama of bats or snakes. Rubel's pictures never let rabbits become too cute. Her cartoons don't usually contain clues to the riddles, but they are a strong, colorful complement to the goofy conundrums and are loaded with clever details. Riddles are varied--from the totally silly kind that will appeal to the very young ("What do you call a bunny that's stuck in the mud? Unhoppy!") to slightly more sophisticated groaners. The answer appears on the same page as the riddle for instant fun. Stephanie Zvirin
From School Library Journal:
Kindergarten-Grade 3. "And then there were..." nine terrific books in this series of classic and new riddles. The cartoon-style illustrations are bright and charming and often supply the answers. Some kids may need a few of the plays on words explained, but what an excellent way to expand vocabularies. Great for laugh-out-loud silliness and for becoming more sophisticated riddle solvers and tellers.?Gale W. Sherman, Pocatello Public Library, ID
