DAVID MORTIMER worked for the educational and overseas departments at Longman from 1960 to 1985 before moving to Macmillan then to BBC as Head of Publishing in the Education Directorate. His previous books include Classic Cricket Clangers and Classic Rugby Clangers (Robson). He lives in Sussex.
