June 23, 2011 The 'Apple Tree Lean Down' series is set in rural England in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It follows the lives and fortunes of several main characters and shows how their lives intertwine. This post contains some spoilers; though I've tried to avoid including too many major spoilers, it's difficult, since the stories in later books depend on events in earlier ones.
