The Norton Reader was one of my assigned books for freshman college English. I found most of the selections interesting, but did not have the time to read everything. My father picked it up and was fascinated by the Donald Hall story "A Hundred Thousand Straightened Nails." He's been talking about it for years. Somehow the book disappeared and my father had been hunting for a copy for decades. I decided to try to locate a copy on Alibris since I've had good luck finding other out of print books there. I found the correct Norton Reader edition and sent it to my father who is thrilled to have it again. The selection of material in it is excellent. readerofall on July 10, 2008
